Our Programme

At RHPE Preschool, our approach is built on five key pillars that nurture the whole child. We provide a safe and inspiring environment where emotional and intellectual growth go hand in hand. By blending wellbeing with academic rigour, we help every child flourish with resilience, character, and confidence.

Project Based Learning

[Early Years]

Through the eyes of young learners, they start to explore the world around them. We encourage our students to ask questions, observe dynamic patterns, and spark their curiosity in exploring how things work. Our teachers create a classroom culture of innovation. The goal of project-based learning at this level is to allow our children to become inventors, architects, actors, artists, scientists, or engineers in an open setting where we welcome them to try everything.

[Kindergarten]

Project-based learning in kindergarten level provides children with the chance to apply their newly developed literacy, numeracy, and life skills to work on real-world applications. Through our various collaborative projects, children learn to work as a team, respect other’s idea, and communicate effectively. Hands-on projects re-enforce the academic topics in a playful manner and through this experience, students become creative, curious and confident learners.

Bilingualism

[Early Years Immersive Program]

RHPE provides a natural, bilingual environment in which Chinese is part of everyday communications. In the RHPE community, children can communicate with our teachers and their peers in Chinese. We also develop activities and games for children to learn Chinese in fun and interactive ways. Teachers at RHPE have prepared a variety of activities, language games and projects that make the learning process fun. These activities will expand children’s vocabulary of objects and adjectives.

[Kindergarten Immersive Program]

Although no two days are the same, a kindergarten Chinese immersion student would experience the following as part of classroom activities:

  • Songs/dance/movement activities
  • Math instruction and math centers
  • Whole group and literacy instruction
  • Small reading groups
  • Independent reading centers
  • Chinese character formation practice
  • Center time
  • Fun engagement activities to inspire young minds and encourage exploration

Better immersion encompasses literature and informational text for science and social studies that complement the core content of Chinese language learning.
